Fraggle Hat

Image
The kiddo wanted a hat. So I took him to pick out the yarn. His first choice... well, it kinda looked like vomit. I was dreading the hours I was about to spend working this puke yarn when he yelled "RAINBOW HAT!" He'd discovered this... My first thought, "somebody skinned 'em some Fraggles". You got it, kid. And the Fraggle Hat was born.

Rebranding

I've had an Etsy shop since 2010. I've sold a bit of everything in those years. Custom invitations, painted mugs, steampunky hats. A few years ago I started listing my snarky cross stitch patterns and then kits. I've been branded The Lewd Shrew for a long time, a nod to my old personal blog, but since everything that I sell is needle art related, I figured it was time for a re-brand. Logo designing commenced. Domain acquired. Now all I need to do is reformat every single effing pattern that I sell. Which is currently hovering around 150 patterns. It's gonna take some time. Until then, I'll remain The Lewd Shrew on Etsy. You can find me here.

Project Bag

I've been eyeballing this Disney Princess fabric for a long while but I'm cheap as fuck and didn't want to pay $5.44 a yard for enough yardage to make an epic dress. Since I've taken up knitting and crocheting, I wanted a project bag to keep my current WIPs together, along with whatever I'm working on for the shop. Enter... the big tote bag pattern from the Autumn Street Pattern Shop. I was specifically looking for a tote pattern with a divider pocket, to store needles, patterns, etc. and came across the free tutorial for adding a pocket to this bag. I loved the look of her royal blue version and wanted to copy it with the princess fabric for the liner. It's finished and it's fucking amazeballs. Et voila! The Project Bag.
